Esquire was a real-time record label in the cauldron of ’50s/’60s Prestige jazz releases, from 1956 to around 1964 when it went into liquidation. From a vintage Record Collector magazine series, scans of which are posted up to a forum I’ve long lost track of, I have gleaned the following (incomplete) information:
April 1957 : 32-020 to 022
July 1957: 32-023 to 024
Sept. 1957: 32-027 to 028
Oct 1957: 32-029
Jan 1959: 32-069 to 071
Feb 1959: 32-072 to 075
March 1959: 32-076 to 078
May 1959: 32-079 to 081
Jun 1959: 32-082 to 083
Sept. 1959 32-085 to 086
Oct 1959: 32-087 to 088
Feb 1960: 32-092 to 093
Jun 1960: 32-097 to 099
Sept 1960 32-106 to 108
I haven’t bothered with the complete because you can easily see the pattern of two to three releases per month every month, make your own estimate.
